Stunting or low height for age is an affected physical growth of children with effects largely irreversible and resulting from consistent maternal and new born malnutrition. The World scenario indicates that out of 128 countries Pakistan’s position is 14th with 44% country wide prevalence of stunting.
Purpose
Multidimensional Poverty report 2016 developed by Ministry of Planning, Development & Reforms with Technical Cooperation of UNDP states “the poor people in Pakistan experience 19.7% deprivations and country’s multidimensional poverty headcount ratio is estimated at 38.8% of population”.
